The old rearranging the coordinators on the Titanic schtick. Texas--in their never ending quest to pretend that they're just like tsun--will inevitably be doing the same right after they lose to Colorado this week. In any event, firing a coordinator is a huge sign--if not definitive proof--that Harbaugh is coming back and will be getting his 100 next year.

Ok hear me out. What if Rain Man wasn't getting the leverage against Manuel he wanted by playing the 'NFL suitor' card. He wants to come back and doesn't want to take a pay cut. So he tells Manuel he's firing Brown now, before an extension is worked out. Manuel can't say no; Harbaugh is under contract for 2021 and taking away his authority to choose his own staff would set the program back AT LEAST two years in terms of recruiting and keeping underclassmen from jumping ship. It would also put Manuel squarely in the crosshairs with the fanbase for 'sabotaging' Jimmy. However, Manuel doesn't budge in negotiations. Jimmy is stuck in the same predicament he is now. Neither side blinks. Jimmy coaches next year as a dead coach walking. The defensive staff that has given up a collective 118 points in their last two matchups with the good guys now needs to fill a one-year lame duck position. Their talent pool is now reduced to coaches who are currently unemployed and can't land a position at pretty much ANY other bowl subdivision school.

100 points or bust next year.
