SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

En9jCJ6WMAAbXxz

Look what he has had to overcome! What can one expect unless he is given a lifetime contract? Did he have the benefit of Barwis? Why not? What I see right there are the seeds of excellence, I tell you, the seeds of excellence. Let's get Jimmah a recruiting class and give Barwis five years to support him. In five more years, this slate will not look like this. These numbers will change! Guaranteed! Let's get behind a lifetime contract for this man. A Michigan Man! It's the right thing to do.

Regardless of where his career goes, McNamara has more touchdowns at Michigan than any Michigan quarterback recruited by Harbaugh and he only has 1 career start.
This sounds unbelievable, so I decided to do some research....

Fact check: MOSTLY TRUE

Harbaugh has recruited seven quarterbacks to Michigan. Here's the list, in order, with year signed in parentheses, followed by career passing TDs:

Zach Gentry (2015): 0
Alex Malzone (2015): 0
Brandon Peters (2016): 4
Dylan McCaffrey (2017): 3
Joe Milton (2018): 5
Cade McNamara (2019): 5
Dan Villari (2020): 0

6 years, 7 quarterbacks, 17 TDs. Let that sink in.... Quarterback whisperer, indeed!

Here's a look at Harbaugh's other quarterbacks:

He inherited Wilton Speight, who threw for 22 TDs in parts of 3 seasons (2015-2017).

Jake Rudock transferred in 2015 and threw for 20 TDs that year before graduating.

John O'Korn also transferred into Michigan, and he had a grand total of 4 TDs in two seasons (2016 & 2017), to go along with 6 INTs.

Shea Patterson was the most successful transfer, and he threw for 45 TDs in two seasons (2018 & 2019). By way of comparison, Dwayne Haskins threw for 50 TDs in 2018 alone.

Fun fact: In 2017, Michigan had just 9 passing TDs in 13 games (Peters 4; Speight 3; O'Korn 2).

So it's QB-U then?

2017: Tate Martell - 1 td (plus another 2 rushing tds)
2018: Matthew Baldwin - 0 td

Nice work, but you missed one:

Chris Chugunov (transfer from West Virginia): threw for 6 TDs in 2019 ... which is more than any of Harbaugh's recruits has so far.

Chugunov: 6
McNamara: 5
Milton: 5
Peters: 4
McCaffrey: 3
Malzone: 0
Gentry: 0
Villari: 0
