SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

Of course, another thing about the game back when they were scoring a point a minute was that the real power in college football was with the eastern teams. I stumbled across a site... actually... I think it was posted here earlier this year for a different reason (corrected rankings)... anyway, the author of that site makes a very compelling case that the eastern powers would have wiped the floor with those early scUM teams.

Their vaunted point a minute strategy revolved around surprise pooch punting it on 2nd or 3rd down.
Then, because their hardest opponents were Case, Western Reserve*, Cleveland Ath Club, Oberlin, Kalamazoo, etc... relying on the opponent to sloppily turn it over deep in their own territory.

*The comma is not a mistake. They had not merged yet.

SKULL SESSION: JIM HARBAUGH'S JOB IS SAFE, AIDAN HUTCHINSON SAID HE DIDN'T SEE THE LOSS COMING, AND CHARLES WOODSON LAMENTS ANOTHER LOSS

OHIO'S SECOND-FAVORITE HEAD COACH. I could not deliver you better news on this fine Monday morning: Jim Harbaugh ain't going anywhere.

Though some fans have called for his dismissal, both throughout the season and in the wake of Saturday’s loss to Ohio State, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh’s job is safe heading into next season, according to multiple sources close to the University who spoke to The Daily on condition of anonymity, as they were unauthorized to speak publicly on the matter.

As long as athletic director Warde Manuel and University President Mark Schlissel want Harbaugh, Harbaugh won’t be fired, per one source. And ahead of the Board of Regents’ meeting on Thursday, nothing has indicated otherwise.

And Buckeye fans don't even have to foot the bill for his contract! Incredible.

As an Ohio State fan, I could not imagine someone I'd prefer to coach at Michigan than Jim Harbaugh, and I mean that in full sincerity.

He's good enough of a coach to win nine or 10 games every year and provide a legitimate boost to Ohio State's strength of schedule while clearly not giving a damn about the rivalry and laying an egg every November. He's also weird as hell and easy to make fun of, providing an endless stream of content. And to top it off, he's expensive and absolutely drains that athletic budget.

He's perfect. May he and his khakis stay forever, and ever.

Unless this is the dreaded vote of confidence, I am shocked to be honest.

I thought for sure they were setting him up for this to be his Alamo. Win or go home.

Letting him have access to the media again, the usual pre season media slurping of tsun turned up to 11, I was convinced both of these were the long play for action if he lost again.

8 in a row, 2 of the worst beatings in the history of The Game while the talent trend line is diverging and their admins essentially just shrugged their shoulders and said we are good with it.

What was it I was telling our tsun troll about two completely different cultures? An OSU coach would never be allowed to get to that spot but if he somehow did, he'd have to be put into witness protection for his safety.

There would be a fucking riot if the AD and President said that a coach, doing something much worse than John Cooper ever did, was our man going forward.

I am giddy

Let's see how the next month plays out - how many players enter the transfer portal, sit out the bowl game, declare early for the NFL, or otherwise quit on their team.

Last December, scUM lost 5-star DT Aubrey Solomon (transfer) and had four high-profile starters sit out the bowl game (Rashan Gary, Devin Bush, Karan Higdon, Juwann Bushell-Beatty), a game in which scUM was blown out.

If scUM has another clown show December, that, combined with the blow out in The Game, might be enough to end the Harbaugh Era in Ann Arbor.

My first instinct is to tell you to shut your whore mouth but, alas, you may be right.

Let's hope the string of incredible decisions from their administration continues and he's in AA for a long, long , long time.

He became the first coach on either side to reach an 0-5 record in The Game. With Justin Fields returning, the overall talent gap widening, and The Game in C-Bus next year, very few folks in AA would expect anything other than 0-6 if he's still there next season. How long can the athletic department up there think he's worth what they're paying him, and how long can he stand the pressure and shame personally?

Gotta wonder if he explores going back to the NFL. Ross probably would be seen as a hero among their fans if he pulled harbaugh to miami. Lets them save face by not firing the savior, but still move on to the next failure with new hype. Dallass could also come calling. Big(?) bro is also kicking ass still with the ravens, which you know gets to the goofy bastard. A bit of the early tsun days cockiness was back preseason and before the wiscy ass whooping. He thought osu was finally out of the way and he could get at least a b1g championship and playoff spot. Now, they lost to the 3 best teams they played, two decisively. And we know how well they play in bowls after an ass beating from their owners. Returning to the NFL makes a lot of sense for both him and tsun.

I think I did my math right.

I was interested in first half vs 2nd half results of The Game in the Harbaugh era.

OSU has outscored ttun 87-69 combined in those five years in the first half. This is an average halftime score of 17.4 - 13.8 or an average halftime lead of 3.6. Certainly close. Only once, though, has ttun had the lead at halftime in the past 5 years (10-7 in 2016).

Much larger second half (and overtime) advantage of 134-57 for OSU, an average of 26.8 - 11.4 or a difference of 15.4 per game after halftime.

Overall average victory exactly 19 points in the past 5 years.

You stated scUM has had the lead at halftime once. From your research, how many times did scUm have the lead after the fourth quarter?
