Always bittersweet for me. Unless I'm remembering wrong, despite the intense schadenfreude associated with that game, the fact that MSU won ultimately kept OSU out of the playoff that year. If UM gets the punt off....

Correct me if I'm wrong.

You aren't wrong. This is one of life's serious decision points: hope dUMb wins and OSU makes the playoffs or hope dUMb loses and OSU doesn't make the playoffs.

You are correct.

One of the problems with hating SCUM as I do is that I was OK with us losing out on the title game. A regular UM loss - not so much. But that one was so gut wrenching - a thing of absolute beauty.

I really think you guys ought to stop thinking about the nuances of our relationship with those smug bastards or whether we played in some playoff game. Just sit back and watch that lousy human being weep because his shitty team did exactly what it should have done.
