I hunt, but also I think idiots that kill endangered species have serious childhood issues.

I think that is great, seriously. Conservation is the way to go. But I am guessing that the picture is not so rosey outside of SA.
It's weird, I have no problem with hunting birds. But I cannot think of why I would ever kill a big top-of the food chain animal like a bear or elephant. I just don't see the point.

Bucklion;1465432; said:Yeah, not really seeing the bad-assed-ness here. A real hunter kills the prey with a killshot (after the initial shot if necessary) and doesn't let it bleed to death over a period of hours.
scarletandgrey;1465470; said:If this was done by a male it would get little or no recognition. All the hype here is more about the hunter being female. Sorry to be offensive, I'm not trying to be sexist but that is just the nature of the situation.
OCBuckWife;1465516; said:I agree totally about the bad move of letting it bleed to death instead of going up and finishing it off. I'm still impressed by the training and time it took for her to get strong enough to be able to draw the size bow it seems it would take to get a single arrow into an elephant deep enough even for it to bleed out. It's a pretty major wound, if not a true single killing stroke.
Not offensive at all, you are totally correct, had it been a male it would have no interest for me either. Men do it all the time. Women, not so much. So yea, it is all about the gender in this case. No denying that one.
