Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Re: Crawford and former St. Vincent-St. Mary star Parris Campbell, part of Ohio State's 2014 recruiting class, are very good friends. In a cleveland.com story on the friendship from November, the two explained their love for their dream schools of Ohio State and Michigan. Asked if he could ever imagine joining Campbell at Ohio State, Crawford said then, "Michigan has always been my dream. When we were little playing NCAA, we'd always just play each other. We could never watch a game together because it just gets crazy."
But Crawford also said that Campbell continued to try to sell him on the Buckeyes.
"He's very set on Ohio State, and me having another year in high school with the decisions I have to make, I'm with Michigan, as of now," Crawford said in November. "But he's grown up, he's always been the Ohio State guy and I've always been the Michigan guy."
Contacted this week, Campbell said he and Crawford had talked about his friend's future, but he was going to keep that between them. For the moment, Crawford is no longer the Michigan guy.
