Good point.I understand the national guys buying into the hype more than the local guys who are presumably supposed to be watching the teams they cover regularly.
Like I've said, I watched a handful of scUM games this year, and he didn't stand out one single time. Each game, he'd get a couple of tackles. That's it. Nothing out of the ordinary for thousands of college football players. If it wasn't for the commentators bringing him up every other play, I wouldn't have known he was in the stadium. The couple of plays he came in on offense, the announcers would start frothing at the mouth and (presumably) jerking eachother off under the table and he'd either be a decoy or run for three yards. I'd argue the biggest play he made in B1G play against a team with a pulse was having a pass gently tipped to him for his lone career interception...a play any random player (save, possibly, Anderson Russell) could make.
