Correct me if I'm wrong, but his stock has only gone up since before the season. I cannot blame the young man for going pro whatsoever.

I'm thinking he leads his high school class for Most Likely to Succeed so far. Let's hope he has a great pro career!

Malaki blossomed into a stone cold killer as a freshman at OSU. You can tell he has approached the game seriously even as young as he is & put a lot of time in the gym. I doubt he will be getting feedback that sends him back to college. Hope he has a great, long career in the NBA.

It sucks but I agree, he’s gone. I’m not sure what would motivate him to stick around. Not competing for championships, that’s about 99% sure. I’ve heard people that cover OSU sports say he could benefit from another year in the program and develop into a higher pick in the draft. But would that really happen? It’s tough to know for sure because these people have a vested interest in telling me what I want to hear. But I’m not seeing any actual evidence to support what they’re trying to sell me.

How did other freshman headed to the first round of the draft do? Did their teams win a bunch of games? Just curious. I don’t follow hoops enough to know. I’d like to see every freshman projected to go first round and see how their teams did. Would be interesting to look at.
