I think at this point we have to look at Buford and Roe as 1A and 1B.....
Buford has been very impressive so far this summer and it would be great to get another dynamic talent out of the Toledo area.

Matta's Recruiting Style?
For some reason, I have a hard time believing that Thad Matta uses the "you're my #1 priority" as his recruiting framework.
He seems much to team/goal oriented to pull the #1 guy stuff.
I see it more as "you will be an integral part of a recruiting class that will compete for a NC".
I'm not a premium jukie, so I may well be way off...

I believe Matta and staff our team oriented and I can almost assure you they never tell a recruit he is their #1 priority, but I was speaking in terms of need in that class, we need #3 and a #4 in the 2008 class.
Matta recruits these kids by showing them his vision for tOSU and thats to bring championships back to the program.

Buford enjoyed his visit to tOSU this past weekend, he was impressed by Coach Matta. Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State are in close contact. No timetable for a decision or any additional visits scheduled at this point.

According to Buford's father, they will visit Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana in October. They may also visit Illinois and Cincy after his season. There is no timetable for a decision. The goal is to trim his list to three schools prior to his upcoming season.

Now it looks like he may wait a bit.
Not sure on what to think about this. I still think that he is ours to lose, but I would rather him get it over with b4 his season. Just MHO I guess.

Thad train is slowing down a bit, and you knew it was going to happen. With all of these great recruits lining up to come to Columbus, guys like Crater, Gates, Roe and Buford are in a holding pattern and looking everything over. Can't blame the kid one bit for looking around. I'm sure we'll still be in it 'til the end, though.
