I really hope he sticks around, as well. I don't know much about the behind the scenes of the basketball team, but it doesn't appear on the surface that he would have much reason to transfer. He looks to be in a great position to get a lot of quality minutes next year.

Particularly if DT leaves early.

If Thomas would have left I would agree. I think Q Ross will be an unhappy player here next here.

The rotation for next season will indeed be interesting. We very much needed Ross this year, but the conditioning and then the D weren't there. If we don't have several kids (Scott and Ross in particular) getting serious minutes off the bench there will be much gnashing of teeth in Columbus.

I don't see why those minutes can't be there - but the D comes first.

With Q's first full off-season conditioning program, pre-season, and out-of-conference games to come, Q will have every opportunity to prove himself to this coaching staff. I think he's motivated and I think he's going to do big things before our first exhibition game next season. Willie graduating, Sully going to The League, and transfer speculation amongst other unhappy players on the team could only help his cause. He's going to have to work for it to earn it though. Let's see how much he wants it. Buckeye Nation is pulling for him.

I said it before he came on and I'll say it again though... he's GOT to get better on the defensive end if he wants meaningful playing time. It's not his offense that is keeping him from getting minutes.

I think Ross will start because of the fact we need his scoring in the line up. Other than Thomas who would score among the starters?

You could see that Thompson and Scott were very reluctant to shoot this season and under-performed when they did. I don't think that is a reflection of their abilities anymore than Ross' 25% 3 pt shooting was a reflection of his or Diebler's 29% 3pt shooting as a Frosh was a reflection of his.

I don't believe we will be short on weapons next year.
