Posting the below in a few of the players' threads in the hope that more people will click on these and vote. Craft is a member of the OSU Alumni team for The Basketball Tournament, and there is a fan component where if they win and enough of you different BKBs vote USING BN27s LINK BELOW then BP may be able to win some money off of it. You get to cheer on Buckeye alumni and potentially make money for BP for doing nothing... sounds perfect, really.

Well the deadline is coming up, and I know the bosses are busy.....so here's a link to join and vote for The Scarlet & Gray. It will give me points as a recruiter. If they win the whole thing, any money that "I" win will be donated to BP.

DAVID LIGHTY WATCHED HISTORY. Notre Dame nearly burning completely down is one of the wildest things I've watched unfold in a while. But I was following along from over 4,000 miles away. David (now rebranded as "Dave") Lighty was about 400 feet away.

Lighty plays over in France with the club ASVEL Basket, located near Lyon, so his presence there wasn't that out of the ordinary. But it's still a wild coincidence that he happened to be right there as the flames started.

It was fantastic to hear that the structure of the cathedral was saved. It's far from awesome that the 900-year-old wooden roof is lost and essentially irreplaceable, but in the long-run this is just going to be another chapter in the crazy history of a legendary building.

In 500 years, I have no doubts that cathedral will still be standing and folks will be reading about The Fire of 2019 as they walk its beautiful halls.

I was at that game along with every other game at The Q that weekend. So damn fun.

Really missing that stuff this week.

Got married on March 17, 2011. Then that Friday my pops takes me to see OSU beat UT San Antonio at the Q and then he takes my bro to sundays game vs George Mason. Seems like a lifetime ago

SKULL SESSION: RYAN DAY WILL BE ELITE FOR THE NEXT DECADE, MACK BROWN SUGGESTS SUMMER PRACTICES, AND DAVID LIGHTY RETURNS STATESIDE DURING THE PANDEMIC

WELCOME HOME, DAVE. Quite a few former Ohio State hoopers were caught overseas when the coronavirus began to spread. Aaron Craft is hunkering down in Italy, but David Lighty got home ASAP when he grasped how serious it was getting.

“My family was relieved,” said Lighty, who plays pro basketball in France. “My grandma cried when I landed. They’re all happy to see me home.”

...

“I just got back home last Tuesday,” Lighty said. “The borders were closing in France and our team owner [former NBA player Tony Parker] said it was best we leave and be with our families.”

Now back in Ohio, Lighty will comply with the state’s issued order to stay at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. And he’ll have to find ways to remain in shape in case the Euroleague returns to action.

“I’ll do home workouts and workout in the backyard,” Lighty said. “It’s tough with so much in limbo. There’s a lot of leagues trying to find solutions but no one knows when all of this will clear up enough for us to start.”

And with basketball on hold, it looks like Lighty is planning to enter the labor force.

I want to make crystal clear to any prospective job givers out there: I, also, will work at this rate. In fact, I will undercut Mr. Lighty. I will do the job for $50 an hour. I do not care what the job is. I will do it.

In professional basketball, it's hard to remain on any one team for an extended period of time unless you are a superstar. And even then, as LeBron James and others have demonstrated, those players don't tend to stay in one place all that long.

In European professional basketball leagues, that is even more the case, with players bouncing from team to team over the course of an offseason or even moving to a different country year after year. But for former Ohio State star David Lighty, staying in one place for multiple years has been no problem of late.

Lighty, who has played for ASVEL Basket in Lyon, France since 2017, signed a new contract with the club on Thursday. This deal is a two-year extension and will keep Lighty with ASVEL through 2024.
