PARMA, MI -- An estimated 50 to 75 Western High School students believed to be seniors were caught Monday night using shaving cream, baby powder, toilet paper, and other items to make a mess of inside the school, district Superintendent Michael Smajda said.
It does not appear the students broke or stole anything in the building at 1400 S. Dearing Road, which was empty and locked at the time, but were mischievous and created a nuisance, Smajda said. “For some reason they thought these things would be funny.”
There will be consequences, said Smajda, who was to meet before noon with the school administrative team.
“I understand being a senior and wanting to have fun. I get that. This crosses the line of fun.”
School officials are still trying to determine how students got into the school, Smajda said, but one of them might have left open a window and they went through it.
