The Citadel (4-6) vs Bama 17-50
Idaho (4-7) vs UF 10-63
Middle Tennessee (7-4) vs UK 20-34
Liberty (4-6) vs Auburn 0-53
UMASS (4-8) vs Georgia 27-66
UAB (9-2) vs aTm 20-41
Rice (1-11) vs LSU 10-42
Chattanooga (6-5) vs S. Carolina 9-49

39-49 are the teams the SEC played minus the 3 conference games. Average score of these games came to Cupcakes - 14 points to SEC - 50 points. Play these games weeks 1-4 and nobody bats an eye.

The game against Chattanooga made S. Carolina bowl eligible with a date against Clemson next.
Ohio State's schedule thusfar: 51 - 70. We should not be throwing stones.

The stone being thrown is the BS scheduling the second to last game of the year. I didn't include the three games in conference because there is nothing you can do about those games and at least they could have bowl game implications. See South Carolina winning its 6th game just before playing Clemson.

I agree entirely. They've been doing it for years and, if they are going to continue as they do, in order to rest up for their rivalry games, then I think the B1G should too. It is BS and I hope you didn't think I was criticizing you.

My point is that they have a valid argument this year that our schedule looks worse. Truth is, you can't compare wins and losses because it's apples and rotten tomatoes that we compare. And, before someone goes there, the Arkansas's of the world are not a murderers row either, especially when your team are a bunch of wussies that can't play below 55F. [rant ends]

Agree. My biggest gripe is that a fourth "gimme" game, minus Troy or Appy State, gives the SEC a better shot at making a bowl game since they most likely will be gifted 4 wins. We either join them or we (B1G, etc.) force the NCAA to make it the same across the board.

You're comparing Oregon State, Tulane, and TCU's records to FCS schools with losing records ???
Really?
I don't think anyone should be allowed to schedule FCS anymore. The division between P5 and G5 is already pretty wide. May as well schedule JUCO at this point.
Nope. That's the apples and rotten tomatoes argument I make.

There is a very strong chance that OSU does not play Iowa in 2017 or Purdue in 2018 if the B1G went to an 8 game schedule.

And if you listen to the AD's and University presidents in the SEC, it is far more likely that we will join you with a 9 game conference schedule than have you guys revert back to a November gimme game. The TV money that is being offered is far too great.

Likely wouldn't happen until CBS renews their contract with the league (2023), the league would ask for more money given the extra cross divisional game.
