San Francisco 49ers (official thread)

Niners have the 2nd and 29th picks in round two and need a DT. Big Hank? The 2nd pick might be a little early and I doubt Hank is around at 29, but I guess we will see.

They have to get Te'o right? If there was ever a player that belongs in SF it's him.

Eric Reid. I like it.

Great pick...that is who I wanted for the Bengals. Many thought he would be available early-2nd and personally I thought he was the best safety in the draft. If he wasn't going to Cincy, glad he is in SF though.

I'm thrilled. Lets them play Asomugha at CB instead of sliding him in at FS. I doubt he'd be there in the 2nd. If the Niners moved up to grab him, they must have had pretty good info that he'd be gone by the time they were picking at 31. Plus, they only had to part with a 3rd rounder (74 overall) to move up 13 spots.

I'd like another safety and then d-line all the way. Plenty of options in this draft I'd be happy with. Would also like to see them get a versatile TE to replace Delanie Walker, who will be missed more than most realize.

Agree about the TE. I would prefer Carradine at 34, but wouldn't be too upset if they grab Ertz. Nice to have all these picks and the flexibility that comes with them. Plus, plugging a major need with arguably the best player at his position in this draft in round one was huge.

One thing this organization has proven over the past 4-5 years is that they know how to draft (particularly from round two on), so whatever they do, I tend to trust them. Hopefully A.J. Jenkins actually contributes this year.

Never really heard of the TE, but his film looks impressive and scouts seem to like him. Might be more of a blocking type that can catch some. Big kid. Line him up on the end of that line and run all day.
