It pisses me off that teams try to hurt Brax. But that's just the way it is.
All praise and kudos to Kenny G. We are blessed with such a leader and great kid!
The defense was terrific today! Many teams have good offenses but the best teams also have a great defense!

Maybe, maybe not. If Braxton can't stay on the field for a full game, what would you do if you're Meyer?
Braxton should be the starter. However, to maintain that spot, Braxton needs to stay in these games and perform.
It's nice to be able to even have this conversation. Last year it felt like a disaster in the making when he went down with a knee injury against Michigan State but they won and then with the whiplash thing against Purdue, Kenny G came in and won the game for them because he's steady and consistent.
Brax needs to stay on the field. Injuries happen and that sucks, and he can look like the best QB in human history in practice, but the games are what count and he has missed significant time in both of the games so far.

the .gif is disturbing....San Diego St. wasn't good in any phase of the game until Ohio State was putting in the 3rd team on defense in the 2nd half. All that extra time for the backups is only going to be a good thing going forward.

My thoughts
Kenny G did a great job filling in and played a great game. He did come back to earth in the second half and reminded everyone that while is a good QB that he isn't Braxton. Braxton needs to be healthy for the BIG season if we want to meet everyone's expectations
Offense: I thought we still had a pretty vanilla offense abusing SDSU with a couple of plays they coudln't stop. I think the offensive line still has a lot of work to do. The penalty's have to stop. There weren't the gaping holes on the basic zone play up the middle there were last week. We definately showed our dink and dunk passing game off to no real success in the 2nd half. I feel like we aren't utilizing the middle of the field in the passing game. (Braxton had the one great throw to Heurman up the middle in the first drive) IMO the passing game has to still get much better if the team wants to win the BIG.
Defense: Happy about the performance. Ryan Shazier is a one man wrecking crew, in on every play. I thought the rest of the LBs played ok. Grant had his flashes, but he also had a couple of bad angles. Josh Perry had a great swat on a 3rd down passing play, other than that i remember him chasing people most of the day. Our secondary played very well, except on the TD drive by SDSU they got a little soft. I thought the defensive play calling got pretty vanilla too in the 2nd half. It was good to see Reeves get his pick as they were going at him on that last drive. Finally the D line looked great. Bennett, Miller, Bosa, Spence all had outstanding games. This defense will get a real test next week in Cal. I still think we don't know what we have yet.
As I am typing this some joker on ESPiN is calling scUM the best team in the big ten. While I whole heartly dissagree, I do know Braxton needs to get healthy, our passing game needs to get much better and our defense needs to continue to improve.

Michigans offense is improved but their defense is no where near where they were the last two years. Best team in the big my ass!
Northwestern doesn't scare me but wisconsin will be a very tough match. Defense returns a lot of players and although the teams they have played are bad they've shut them out whil having three backs that have rushed for over 100 yards in both games so far. Underrated team imo.
If we show strongly against cal it'll change peoples minds.
