I said it when Jon Embree was hired: this was the worst decision on a head coaching hire since Notre Dame hired Gerry Faust. He had never been a coordinator (granted, that seems to have worked out pretty well for Urban Meyer) and seems to have been hired because he is a football coach who just so happened to have a degree from Colorado. Well, that and he came cheap. The Colorado AD simply couldn't afford to bring in a better coach for the budget they had. You get what you pay for.

I married into a herd of CU Buffaloes, including some long-time season ticket holders, and it's rough out here. With this loss and CSU getting worked by North Dakota State, the Buffs have a strong case for being the worst team in the country. I root for them too, over everyone but OSU of course, but it's just sad. At least my sister-in-law just married a huge UGA fan so she can support his team too.
