Scared to play in the SEC?

No.....scared to play for a team that has not won more than 7 games since 07

NorthWestern beat two SEC bowl teams both markedly better than UT...Its just too convenient to ignore the fact that its Bama and LSU...not Ole Miss, Tenn, Vandy, Miss St, Arkansas, UK etc etc

It's pretty much Bama at this point. Until LSU can field a remotely competent
Offense. 2 of the top SEC teams lost their bowl games. Georgia played for dear life until the 4th qtr and Carolina nearly lost to Hoke.

Coming from a bunch of inbreds that claim such superiority, it's really not all that impressive outside of their documented success in the BCS title game.

With how our offense struggled mightily at times last year, we were still able to put 60+ points against Nebraska. Heck, Wisky put up 70, and they had no passing game.

Vonn is the best safety prospect we've recruited in the last decade... in large part because of the previous regime's insistence on molding safties out of former HS quarterbacks (Pentello, Domicone, O.Johnson, etc.). The only arguments to that original statement would be that Donte Whitner (2003) was taken originally as a CB instead of a S and that Eugene Clifford (2007) was an absolute bust. Between Vonn's work ethic and talent, he might end up being the crown jewel of this class and it came in spectacular fashion on signing day. If you've watched his announcement, kid is a class act. Hard not to love having an individual of this ilk representing your university coming out of high school. Again, class act.

Can't wait to see Vonn play in S&G.

I think if you pause and really consider what Bell brings to the table, this is such a huge commitment. Honestly (and I would say this is he went elsewhere), I think Bell is underrated...I see him as a verified top 10 national talent if you consider his versatility and upside. He is going to lock down his man or zone in coverage, get to the line to help support the run defense, and make the big plays. It is going to be extremely difficult to throw over the top on Bell. Not to mention I really think he could wind up being our punt returner with his athletic ability (Clark and Wilson as kick returners).

As soon as he fills that frame out a bit, he is going to be big time. My dream scenario is Bell at FS, Burrows at SS, Conley and Apple at corner, and Worley at the Star. Plus you have Thompson in the equation somewhere. Plenty of coverage ability and PLENTY physical. Throw in Webb in the '14 class and we are going to be awfully tough to throw on.
