This. The safety position is full of nothing but question marks imo. Experience, skill set, health whatever.

Getting a known commodity on board in that room is huge. Some of the question mark guys might be the better player in the end but having at least one solid known commodity fills a big need.

I thought they had passed on/missed this guy. So glad to see this news.

Welcome to the fam Tanner. Look forward to him being a leader on the defense, or at least making a difference at the cover Safety spot to stop the big plays.
