Last week, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel showed up at a Boca Ciega-Dixie Hollins boys basketball game to watch the Pirates' Orhian Johnson. The Buckeyes are recruiting Johnson as a defensive back.

"Tressel even wore his sweater vest," Johnson said. "I don't think he leaves home without it."

Johnson said USF and Indiana also are on his short list of schools. He'll make his decision Wednesday.

Must be all the amazing Ohio skiing. Snow Trails, Mad River... what athletically-inclined person wouldn't be attracted to difficult, scenic ski resorts like those.

Im glad these recruits dont talke to Brian Rolle in the winter. That kid STRUGGLES in this cold. I see him everyday running to class with at least 2 hhodies and a varsity jacket on :)

I like the sound of a 6'4" corner or free safety, but it sounds like one of those "defensive back, oh look you can play wide receiver too!" situations.

I thought the same thing about Donald Washington. He turned out pretty good, too.

I was under the impression it was going to come down to which position he wants to play at the next level. If he wants to play QB, he could go to UCF and stay close to home or Indiana and be the big man on campus. If he wants to play DB (and for a perennial national contender), he can go to tOSU.

I assume he's made a decision by now, but he's gonna make a team very happy.

I doubt it. We already have Henton and potentially Pryor.
