Glad to see this offer come thru, he's got enough raw talent I find him to be an easy take in this class.

He's listed as ATH but I think he's absolutely a safety - he's not swift enough in the hips and going to easily outgrow CB, I don't see the frame to grow into an OLB....based on his nasty streak he's a strong safety to me.

Knowles 4-2-5 uses 2 strong safeties, and with our depth/lack thereof this is a really, really great fit. Plays angry, he wants to wreck you and admittedly sometimes is overly focused on that, but he wants to hit and knows how to hit, is comfortable dropping back, has good hands, good instinct and change of direction in planting and coming forward with ease/light on his feet. Would be surprised if he wasn't an easy top 5 in state kid after next season.

“I’m getting more and more comfortable with coach (Jim) Knowles each time,” Hartford told 247Sports. “You would be surprised how many jokes he has. I definitely am feeling more and more comfortable with him.”

Hartford said he will soon narrow his school list down to three and will take two or three official visits in June before making a commitment. He also said Ohio State is high on his list at the moment.
