Jonathan Toews has the nickname "Captain Serious"..the first time I heard it I thought of Tatum..because he we all business on the field,,he tried to take your head off but to him he was just doing his job. If you had a Tatum on your defense complacency was never an issue. Pre season or Super Bowl he gave 100% evvery down.

R.I.P., Assassin. Ohio State's finest was one of the most terrifying tacklers to every buckle a chinstrap, and then take that chinstrap and work it to the breaking point by spearing, slapping, hacking, clotheslining, slamming, and putting the fear of an angry and impersonal God into the opposition. Mourning someone who played with such hathos directed at lesser football players seems off-key; Tatum deserves more of a salute, a push of the boat, and a swiftly thrown torch igniting his Viking funeral boat.
