Word in Gainesville has it the 'Ole Ball Coach told Meyer "Go win four!" at his end of game handshake, and I hope we can. Spur dog won't whine about an ass beating, as he was often on the wining side of most SEC team's worst losses.
I dunno, MNCs are so rare and special that I do not expect one, I just savor the ride when things go well. I was 37 when UF won its first SEC Championship, so I guess I do not have that entitlement mentality.
But I am a happy Gator right now. Good times for us, and as good as it seems, it can go bad. Maybe not as bad as it did for the SMU fans, but it can go from glory to mediocrity in a course of a few years if the stars align.
Repeating, I'm just one happy Gator.

in all seriousness, I agree. I felt like LSU would've had trouble with many past champs, and UF 06 struggled too. But this year's UF squad looks truly dominant. It will be interesting to see how they handle prosperity.3074326;1328826; said:

I've always liked them
I have no idea how this team lost to Ole Miss. Must have been an all night drinking party at the local strip club a la varsity blues.
I don't watch Florida all that often but it seems like compared to last year Tebow isn't playing superman by himself. Harvin appears to be healthy, Demps and Rainey are pretty formidable too. When the USC transfer Moody is mostly a non-factor you've got some talent in their back field.
I like the cut of the jibb of Deonte Thompson. Played a good game against the Dawgs and the Gamecocks. He was a nice pull out of South Florida for Meyer.
I don't like Urban but he's got that magicial quality that the ole ball coach has where he's never pulling his foot off the pedal. He pissed the normallly stoic Randy Shannon for the field goal at the end of the U game which is chuckle worthy in and of itself.

I think Florida would present some big-time problems for USC. USC's defense showed that they have trouble tracking and tackling small, quick players (Rogers). Florida is loaded with guys like that who are probably a bit faster and their O-line is pretty bad ass too. I would love to see this matchup.

I'm trying to work up a bit of sympathy for Spurrier, but I can't think of anyone.... maybe Charlie Weiss... who is more deserving of a good ass whipping.
And to think, with four losses and a probable fifth in the offing, Charlie Tuna is thinking Gator Bowl. Why not send him off to play Utah, Boise State or Ball State and end the whining from several sources?
