Every week I become more and more convinced that the two best teams in college football are Florida and Texas.

I'm trying to work up a bit of sympathy for Spurrier, but I can't think of anyone.... maybe Charlie Weiss... who is more deserving of a good ass whipping.

I can think of "anyone". In fact, she might ahead of Spurrier. She is a little north of the Ohio border.

Agree completely. I'm not hopping on the Ttech bandwagon- I still think Texas is better. Yes Texas lost to Tech, but it was on a last second play at TTech... And at the end of a grueling stretch for Texas. IMO if they played 10 times on a neutral field Texas would win at least 7 or 8 out of 10.

And florida is playing amazingly well. I do think they're overrated, but just because the hype is so much. It always happens- after some huge wins and some great play, people say they're amazing, while forgetting to look at some huge flaws in their opponents (South Car is TERRIBLE... 14 of UF's first 21 points were flat-out HANDED to them). But they definitely are very good.

Texas-Florida would be a great game. They both have fairly suspect defenses. Florida's has done well, but who have they played with a good offense? Texas has played some beastly offenses and done well enough all games but one. I think Texas would win- Florida has spent too much time playing Smelley's, Garcias, Hatches, and Lees of the SEC to be able to cope with McCoy. Likewise, UF's offense is great- but I'm not sold on them in the clutch. Once they get ahead, they can really blow you up- but if they're behind in the 4th, I'm not too sure.
