S/C Coach Mickey Marotti (National Champion)

Mariotti is just one part of the equation.
We were a rudderless ship last year. Fick had his hands tied. He was set up to fail.
We have a guy now who is one of the best if not The Best in coaching.
It's an incredible turnaround that maybe last year was set up to play out this way. Conspiracy theory? Of course no one was in contact with UFM before summer last year. How many believe that?
He's going to go through the BIG like a barbarian horde sacking Rome!

It sounds like he is comparing the Tressel era to the Cooper era as if the Cooper era was the good old days. It doesn't make sense to me, because Tressel was far more successful than Cooper was in terms of wins vs. Michigan, bowl wins, and being national champs.

i think his default point of reference is the Cooper era since that's when he played. also, although Tressel had a much better record against TSUN and in bowl games, Cooper rarely struggled against lesser teams. in fact he kicked the ever loving shit out of them. Tressel won 3 point nail biters against the Toledos of the schedule. Cooper beat them 49-0.

what i want to see is Meyer COMBINE the best of both Tressel and Cooper. kick the ever loving shit out of the lesser teams, AND beat TSUN's ass annually.
