osu offered gowland from GA in May. Baack then people were questioning the offer because he only had an offer from Troy State at the time. Gowland will probably end up with either an Auburn or Georgia offer by the itme its over with and senior films get out.

Russell may be a similar case. Of course he may not get any other offers either.

osu has a pretty good track record when taking lesser recruited kids from the south.

He will visit Furman for an unofficial this weekend and Duke the weekend of Dec. 3rd. His final tOSU visit is being planned for the 2nd week of Dec.
He confirmed that he has been offered by tOSU and is being recruited by Coach Tucker.

If tOSU did indeed offer, then it appears to be a formality that he will commit to tOSU.

Interesting thought. I don't remember Bauta's offer getting pulled but maybe the staff doesn't have a good feeling about Russell coming. It would explain some of the increased interest in other DBs.

Bauta's offer wasnt pulled. He just chose Duke over OSU because his brother went there and he felt more comfortable there.

Does this explain Adam Myers-White?

He's a little heavier, a little faster and could be tested as a power running back. Plus a great student, with a very pro-Buckeye attitude.

From a football standpoint ( though not from a character standpoint) he appears to be kind of an Ira Guilford replacement -- a good defender who can carry the ball in a pinch.

Seems logical, but its not a sure thing, he may just want to go to Duke to get good tickets to the Basketball games ala Big Ben..

Its all about being comfortable with your surroundings.

Agreed I've always never understood why Gowland never took a liking to the bucks, I remember hearing him mention us earlier on, but now his top schools are always Auburn and Georgia even though neither have offered. I dont see TE as an immediate need either at this moment so I dont understand why we'd go after a 2 or 3 star TE at this moment. Unless the tOsU staff sees something in him.

Maybe JT pulled a AMW or TAZ on Gowland, but I see him going to the Tigers of Auburn

I also don't think this had to do with the AMW situation, Anderson is a good player and when the whole AMW thing blew up into a bigger situation then it really was they started to look around and they fouund Anderson. I hope he becomes a visit shortly after his visit.

Bucknutty is there anychance that we would take both Rowell and Russell? They are both safeties I believe. I would think it would be first come first serve and if so will the other one be left hanging?
