At least Mallett can be on the top of the list of least loses to OSU for scum QB's during the JT era. There probably aren't too many scum QB's with less than one loss unless Mallett gets partial credit for 2007.

Survey says: Count it.

I doubt his arm is "legendary" but I do think some folks are underestimating him based on how he looked in piss and blue. He's a lot better now. Getting out of TSUN seems to do that for people.

Mallet is from Arkansas

Mallett used to help park the cars at Razorback games when he was younger and his dad coached at Lincoln which is 10 minutes outside of Fayetteville. His parents are cool but he ended up playing high school at Texarkana on the wrong side. He is a game changer because his arm has gotten stronger and his head has definitely improved from the past. We will see and I hope he does not throw too many balls wild. His passing on short routes is way too hard to handle. I would not trade him for Cam though. We had them in the fourth until we got totally railroaded by the refs. Instant replay stuff that was not overturned has killed us the last two years. SEC refs have to be the worst when it comes to keeping a team undefeated for money.

Go Hogs.

When the game was on the line, Mallett came through...for us.

Hey, Mallet played an incredible game. Those receivers don't drop those passes and we lose in my IMO. Some NFL team is gonna love thise guy. I was seriously impressed by his arm, his pocket presence, his touch, and his fire. What a great QB...in my IMO

Mallett had a great season and I think he'll have an NFL career, but he did not make good throws when he had to move tonight and he made a critical error late to kill his team's chances.

Add to that he's a former scUMmer and I say "thank you" to Ryan Mallet. :wink2:

I am so glad I never let this kid play on my football team!

Ryan, it wasn't fair when people made fun of you on Ohio State message boards. You turned out exactly as billed and I have no doubt that we'll be seeing you in the NFL. TSUN fans can only wonder what might have been.

Life moves on fast after university, so take the opportunity to reflect on what you accomplished. OK, no win today, but taking Arkansas to its first BCS bowl game. You'll always have that.

There's one other thing that people will never be able to take away from you. Your unblemished record of losses to Ohio State. Consistency is important and you've got it in spades! Good luck in all your future endeavors!
