He had a great game besides a few throws but through the first 3 qtrs he could of gotten a few personal foul calls for his hissy fit kicking of the people that were hitting him.

Exactly. The Legend of Ryan Mallett was that he could pass for 2000 yards in a single game, but his tantrums after pressure made him look like he was 12 instead of 22.

I think Mallett needs another year in college - especially if the new NFL CBA reduces rookie compensation as expected. He needs to work on making throws on the move/under pressure.

He sure throws a pretty fade though. OSU's corners actually defended those pretty well, but a perfect throw on a fade beats good coverage every time.

Ryan Mallett shits miniature Chuck Norris' and pisses molten lava down his leg when he sees Cam Heyward coming for him.
The win last night is temporary because Ryan Mallett will just go back in time everyday and replay the game until Arkansas wins.
I love that this thread has been linked in Wikipedia since the OSU/Ark matchup was announced. You're welcome Mark May.

Yep. Mallett can make all the throws. He's not very effective once he had to move out of the pocket, but he'll be a static NFL QB.
FI.

Mallett has all the maneuverabillity of a beached manatee. He'll never be more than a viable backup in the NFL for this reason IMO.

That reminds me, a boulder in my back yard challenged John Navarre to a footrace a number of years ago. At last check, the boulder was half way to the finish line and had a step and a half lead.

Probably didn't have moss growing on it like a bowl cut either!

Which reminds me that I was impressed with Mallett's new style: #3 guard all-around.

I thought Mallet whined like Drew Tate, especially in the first half kicking his legs like a child after he had been sacked. His arm is impressive but he doesn't have the composer yet.

Had the same conversation with the people I was watching the game with.

ESPN ticker says Mallett will enter the NFL Draft. Best of luck to him.

One wonders if hearing that Luck was staying made this decision easier for him.

When I think of Ryan Mallet... I think of a real life Nuke LaLoosh.

You mean, like this guy?
