Russian fishermen caught a "squeaky alien" and decided to ?. eat it!

The thing looks like the Creature From The Black Lagoon from the original old B&W film. And WTF makes you want to eat something you pulled out of the water that you originally thought was an alien??

Village residents from the Rostov region of Russia caught a weird creature two weeks ago after a strong storm in the Sea of Azov. The shark-looking creature was producing strange squeaky sounds.

This has been circulating on the shark list-serves for a few weeks. All indications are that it is a guitarfish which is a close relative of sharks and stingrays. Although not entirely alien, they're still quite unique.
