After finishing 2007 with the No. 25 top-grossing tour of the year, Rush will return to the road for a 40-plus-date outing next April in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Canadian rock trio will make rare visits to such locales as Austin, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; New Orleans; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and will play as-yet-unannounced new venues in Chicago; Detroit; Philadelphia and Seattle. The full itinerary will be unveiled next month.

This year's tour in support of the album "Snakes & Arrows" grossed $29.7 million and drew more than 517,000 fans to 48 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Rush recently scored a Grammy nomination in the best rock instrumental performance for the "Snakes & Arrows" track "Malignant Narcissism."

That guy's voice annoys the hell out of me. Rush sucks, and Lee sucks, with the exception of his contribution "Take off - to the great white North..." eh???

If I want to hear that genre, I'll go dig out my Black Flag stuff, which does rock! :banger:

yeah, Geddy takes some getting used to, but then all he does is rock with some pretty amazing vocal gymnastics. i'll blame your reaction on those lagarto ears of yours...

Putting Rush in the same genre with Black Flag??????

Not sure I can buy that. Thats like putting the Clash in the same genre as Foreigner. they are just sooo different.

Now what was interesting was seeing Rush tour with Primus. Geddy Lee and Les Claypool are two of the better bass players around.

I'm sure you're right. I never bought an album so what little I know about them is that annoying voice. If they are not so hard core, I will defer....but Black Flag still rocks!!:banger:

My first concert was Rush for the "Grace Under Pressure" tour. Aerosmith, who were just a bunch of 70's burnouts at that time, opened for them supporting their "Done with Mirrors" tour.

Good times.
