No offense but this is highly unlikely. Clarett had the advantage of spring practice & was a more natural RB. Dru would have needed time to grow into the roll.kpapa said:RIP Drushaun Humphrey!!!!!
If he would not of passed away so early the Clarett Saga would never of happen. Bigger back than Clarett with 4.2-4.3 speed.

Dru deserves better than to be used as a martyr.
You are using the memory of someone who died under tragic circumstances to promote an agenda. Dru was not the second coming nor was he the answer to the Clarett "problem". He was a very talented kid who deserved a much better fate.kpapa said:I am not trying to use Dru as a marty. I am originally from Youngstown and having the benefit to play against MoC and Dru, there is no comparsion. Dru was a pure physical speciment that could beat you with speed or power. Dru was offered a schollie right after they had him run the 40 for a second time to make sure he had that kind of speed. If Dru would have made it to OSU MoC battle of going to the NFL earl would have been put on hold, because he would have had bigger problems fighting for playing time behind Dru.
If anything Dru would have redshirted as a freshman. Reecie had a spring to learn the blocking schemes and all of the other assignenments that a RB is responsible for. Dru did not have that luxury. He was not a natural at the position and would have needed the time to learn those responsibilities.strohs said:I dont think it would be have "wishful thinking" that he would have beaten out MoC. If anything, they would have split some major playing time. if that happens, all this shit with MoC goes away, period.

Yeah right. Oklahoma rolled over bg. The score was 37-10 in the 4th quarter and frankly, if I'm a bg fan, I'm just glad the score was as close as it was considering the how good bg is and how good OU is. There are no circumstances in which bg could've won that game. I'm not sure it's the best thing to base the talent of Adrian Peterson on his very first collegiate game either. He still ran for 100 yards on only 16 carries, granted it was against a pathetic bg defense, but that's still pretty good.If Jacob's would not of floated some early passes I think the out come would have been different.
