Fuck it. Just eliminate the regular season altogether and go to a three strikes (by strikes I mean losses and maybe four or even five depending on how the math works out) and you’re out tournament like the double elimination for the college World Series. Make NIL prorated based on the maximum number of playable games (still varies by perceived player value, but a player earns up to his full deal based on the number of games his team plays) to keep everyone motivated. Cupcakes will wash out quickly and their players can have more time to play school and we can then have a bunch of major program matchups for several weeks thereafter.

Yes, I started this out being fully sarcastic, but as I think on it, it might not be a completely absurd idea.

“Could we go to 16? Could we go to 20? Could we go to 24? There's proposals out there to go to 28. There's been a couple other proposals to go to 32 … We all get hung up in these numbers; 24, 28. ‘Oh my God, they can't do this.’ But here's what you cannot argue with – nobody can argue with this – what's wrong with more high-level football? What's wrong with more meaningful postseason content? What's wrong with keeping the postseason alive for as many teams as possible? So to me, nobody can argue with that piece,” Bjork said.

“Now how you get there, automatic qualifying spots, how many should the Big Ten have and the SEC, that's where everybody kind of gets hung up. But if you just take high-level content, meaningful content for football; if you take maybe the conference championship weekend and morph that into the playoffs, if you take bowl games that are part of the system and you call them playoff games, what's wrong with that? And so to me, we need to kind of take a step back. Let's do what's right by the game. Let's add more content. Let's add more value.”

“The system needs more money. So if you have these high-profile games that are playoff games, there's more money into the system, which then goes back to the athletes,” Bjork said. “So to me, hopefully we can get to a good place where expansion can really be well thought out between all the conferences, knowing that the Big Ten and the SEC are gonna drive the way.”

“I'm a believer that for the good of the game, for the health of the game, for content, for high-level matchups, we should expand.”– Ross Bjork on College football playoff expansion

I fucking hate this sleazebag

Looks like he wants to sell me a set of whitewalls
Looks like he was the president of the bored ape yacht club.

Reminds me of Peacemaker.

"I made a vow to have peace. No matter how many men, women, and children i have to kill to achieve it."

Djork wants what's good for college football. No matter how many traditions or smaller schools he has to stomp out to get it.

These are kids. First and foremost. They're kids. They don't need to be exposed to so many hits and damaged for life in college.

Seriously, WTF is wrong with this guy?
They're professionals.

They can become sociology majors, play intramurals, and watch the games on TV if they don't want to be "damaged for life in college."

Have seen 'resume builders' like this many times. Not trying to make things better (unless incidently), but want to make changes to put on his resume. Not content to play 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', want to make changes for change sake. No Sloopy? What on earth does this impact? Was glad the band played v Texas anyway. Trying to use the Victory bell more? by ringing before game or during good plays? Once again, how does that impact anything? Wasn't he hired because at A&M he was considered a "NIL expert"? Haven't seen anything good coming out of NIL since he came aboard. Have I missed anything?
