That is bullshit. The Domers don't even deserve a sniff at a BCS bowl.

You heard the UNC crowd last night -- OVERRATED!

It is bullshit, however, people will watch them no matter who they are getting beaten by. You can pretty much figure if they are in the top 12 they will find a way to get them in a BCS bowl.

They re-wrote the BCS rules a few years ago to make sure ND gets their big pay day. I'm sure there are alot of WISKY fans who think the BCS is BS. Let's get the best teams in the BCS games, Boise State or ND couldn't beat WISKY.

LOL! And you can blame it all on you're very own BIG10!

No I think we can blame it on BCS rules..... If the rule hadn't been in place that only 2 schools from one conference can play in BCS bowl games, Wisconsin and Arkansas or LSU would be getting into the BCS and Notre Dame would be left out in the cold... That my friend, was a very foolish post!

I think it's cute that ND fans want to continue their record bowl losing streak, if I were them I would be begging to get in some none BCS bowl so they might have the possibility of winning one for the first time in over a decade.

I agree! The only chances they have of winning a BCS bowl this year, is if they are matched up against Boise State, Louisville/Rutgers, or Oklahoma (they could stop OU's run game, and I'm not incredibly impressed with their pass game)

And you my friend might want to learn thing or two about the history of the BIG10 and ND before you run you're mouth..

ND can talk all they want but Army, Navy, Air Force and North Carolina speak volumes. They better enjoy the BCS this year because even the "Genius" won't be able to replace Quinn, the Wideouts, Zibakowski and others and get them in theBCS.

I'm lost, what the hell does that ancient history have to do with ND being, or not being, in the Rose Bowl or any BCS Bowl this year?

LSU has NOT accepted an invitation to the Rose Bowl yet, FWIW. In fact, until the SEC championship game, LSU won't accept an invitation to any bowl. However, this hasn't stopped LSU fans from buying 32,000 Rose Bowl tickets.

Heh, that's pretty much my thoughts on it. One would assume they would back out of a BCS bowl, take a smaller bowl to at least break that losing streak. The USC losses and Bowl losses can't make the alumni happy at Notre Dame.

I realize this is still Willinghams recruits, but Weis isn't going to get a whole lot of opportunity to build a team if he's following the same habbits.

I don't like Notre Dame at all, but I do think it's more fun to root against them when they have a chance of winning rather than just knowing they are going to lose. :wink2:

Nah, the school would trade a loss for $4.5 million that they don't have to share. Compare that with the Big10:

(all in millions)
OSU - $14-17 (BCS)
scUM - $4.5 (2nd team in BCS)
Wisconsin - $4.2 (Capital One)
Penn State - $3.0 (Outback)
Iowa - $2.25 (Alamo)
Purdue - $2.25 (Champs Sports)
Minnesota - $1.2 (Insight)

Big10 Conference total: $31.4-34.4 million... divide that by 11 and each school gets around $3 million. Easy decision for NoD to take the BCS bid.
