3058 (that was what was on USC at the time of my vBet, it seemed like a good number) on Texas...Texas might have the best defense in the country this year...certainly the best DL, and some very good and underrated CBs. Chizik is a scary scary DC as well.

Oh, and their offense isn't too much of a slouch, USC isn't going to be able to stop all 400 of their stuf running backs...Texas has recruited better than ANYONE the last 4 or 5 years...they have enough talent to score on USC.

Edit: Ahh screw it, all in on Tejas

Obviously you're in the minority of OSU fans. You might want to reconsider your position. What has happened this season to make you think USC is a much better team than Texas? Was it winning all of the games in the MAC west or barely squeaking out a win against overrated ND? I don't see how an OSU fan couldn't root for Texas tomorrow.

You're right on the money. If Texas beats USC, it just makes us look like a much better opponent (because everyone hails the fucking Trojans), and our two losses came to two of the top three teams in the nation (that we very well should have won). I'm not a big fan of either, but it would be much better to say that we lost to the National Champions, and have all this hype about USC end.

Plus it helps us next year if/when we beat TX at their place.

USC has alot more than "hype", and it will not end after tomorrow night, win or lose. USC has won like 34 straight games, and everytime people talk about them not being that great and due for an upset, they blowout their opponent. Now, I'm not a USC fan by any means, but I recognize what they have going. They don't have 2 heisman winners by accident. Leinart might not be as flashy as Young, but he is most certainly as clutch as any QB out there in college football, and as talented as any of them out there. Reggie Bush, I don't have to say anything.

And I don't buy into the "well, we lost to the champions" theory, especially in our situation. We had a different team back then, and with Smith going full speed now, you can almost not relate us now, to us then. Also, especially with the system as it is and you having to run the table to get a championship, its going to be either #1, or not #1 for us. We also lost another game, so that just helps my arguement and we can't say that we "only lost to the national champs" , should Texas win. And I don't want to have to be made to look as a "better oponent" because we lost to the champs, because that means we lost to another team. To our Buckeye standards, you either bring home the national championship, or just have a great season (which is what we did). There is no in-between.

I remember people saying the same thing about Miami a couple years ago....how'd that one turn out for "the greatest college team ever" and their 30 game win streak?

Ummm, OK.
I think the point people were trying to make is that after the game we played against Texas, and the way they didn't give up- as many of us thought they would- earned Texas a ton of respect in the Buckeye community. I'm not a huge Texas fan for the most part, I just like to watch them play....but I damn sure will enjoy watching them bitch-slap USC tomorrow.

I like your point. This Rose Bowl does remind me of the Fiesta Bowl a few years back.

USC 30
Texas 27

Vince Young does not have the greatest day passing. Reggie Bush looks human, but Matt Leinart is very poised and leads his team to victory.

That's my prediction

GO Horns!
