Rose Bowl (Official Thread)

If we win out we'll be in the BCS regardless of what Penn State does, with the extra game theres just so many slots open and theres no legitimate at large contenders from the Pac 10, ACC or Big East

If the season continued on its current path without any upsets (obviously not realistic) the bowl situation would look like this..

BCS Championship
Texas (BCS #1) Vs Alabama (BCS #2)

Rose Bowl
Penn State (Big Ten Champion) Vs USC (Pac 10 Champion)

Sugar Bowl
Georgia/Florida (At Large #2) Vs South Florida (Big East Champ)

Orange Bowl
Florida State (ACC Champion) Vs Utah (Non BCS Auto Qualifier/Reluctant at large #4)

Fiesta Bowl
Oklahoma (At Large #1) Vs Ohio State (At Large #3)

Notre Dame has to be in the mix there somewhere as a pick. Cotton Bowl?
Maybe even Rose Bowl? :( I don't like our chances unless we move up a lot.(could happen) Don't get your hopes up just yet.

???

Notre Dame isn't even in the top 25

I would find it highly doubtful that they are going to climb up to #8 (which they need for an automatic bid) or even to 14 which they would need for an at large. Particularly considering they still have AT LEAST 1 more loss on the schedule with the trip to USC

The bucks have to get the offense straightened out and win three games yet @ Northwestern, Illinois, then back home for scUM.

Depending what happens of course with other teams falling, we win out and Play hopefully in the fiesta bowl.

I say we worry about Northwestern for now. Go Bucks!

Okla and OSU in the Fiesta... Oh what would ESPN do, their two favorite post season punching bags in the same bowl. However, I wouldn't mind seeing the bucks back in the Fiesta, we own that bitch.
I-O... sorry I forgot that

I'd love to play in the Rose but playing USC 3 times in 12 months doesn't excite me. Playing ANYONE 3 times in 12 months doesn't excite me. I want our rematch with SC to be the game in the Shoe.

I bet the Capital One Bowl wouldn't mind OSU-LSU, the rematch. Playing Oklahoma in the Fiesta would be interesting, too.

We've still got work to do, though. Recent history suggests the game at Illinois could be a challenge for us, and scUM is still THE GAME. Fuck it, let's beat Northwestern first.

Call me an idiot, but...

Isn't Oregon State still in the hunt for the Pac 10 Championship? I'm not sure how their tiebreaker works, but if they and U$C end up tied, wouldn't "head to head" mean something?

tOSU and tooOSU would be great (from my perspective- no USC means easy to get tickets).
