Okay, so this is a bit of a longshot, but I have a great place and don't want to lose it so am looking for a roommate. . .

Are any BPers looking for a place in NYC, or know somebody who is?

I have a huge (NYC standards) place in Williamsburg by McCaren Park (sp?).

We'll see. . . I need to figure out what I am going to do this weekend. :P

craigslist could turn up some interesting folks. . .
 
The thought of living with a complete stranger would scare the shit out of me. I know it's common for people in big cities to post things like this, but I'd rather live in a shoe box and know that my roomate isn't going to chop me up in my sleep.

I found my roomate on craigslist... but, I talked to a couple people before getting into this situation. It has worked out great for me thus far. I was definetly aprehensive doing it though.

I'm thinking of relocating to NYC from Chicago. I have only one requirement. Is the tub old and enameled metal? This would be great. I can't live in an apartment that has a newer, vinyl tub. I need an old fashioned indestructable tub...you know something that one could hypothetically leave sitting all night with a mixture of hot water, lye and lime soaking some...uhhh...stuff.

If this works shoot me a pm.

Man those old claw foot tubs were C-O-L-D! Give me a modern tub any day or night! And you have more room for a female visitor! :biggrin:

Anyway, I posted an ad on craigslist. I don't think I am doing it right: somehow I managed to mention Britney Spears in my ad. Whatever. If this gets interesting I'll post the results (axe-murderers, etc.).

I really think you should have been a bit more open to international women in your post..... say something along the lines of..... ummm, swedish massage, french maid outfits, Italian cooks.
