You can go to any decent tool rental place and get the tools necessary to sucessfully reroof . They basically are metal L's that nail right to the roof and you put a stud (wooden lol) between them. you would have to do the bottom few sets from a ladder until you can get these nailed up. If you have never roofed before any decent supply house( home depot, lowes has people to answer your question. the only thing you have to remember is how to start the bottom set. ( cut the shingles in half lentghwise and turn them over so the glue is up then lay new whole shingles down over that. and that is how you make your first course. after that just make sure you lay them straight. If you can't do it by eyeballing it then measure and lay down chalk lines.
