If I'm the Pacers I'd trade Artest for a bag of used condoms. Guy is a thug... and not a particularly talented one at that.

In that case I wish you ran the Pacers so I could offer you Eric Snow for him.

Saying Artest isnt talented is one of the dumber things Ive heard all day. He has more defensive talent than the entire Cavs team. If he was a Cav, he would easily be the second best player on the team. Easily. And he would actually be the Pippen to Lebrons Jordan. Larry Hughes as a Pippen?
I guess your opinion was as worthless as I originally thought when I read it then.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Ron Artest wants to be traded, and Indiana Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh said Monday he'll try to do that.
Artest said in interviews with various media over the weekend that he wants to be traded, that his past haunts him in Indianapolis and that the team would be better off without him.
Walsh said he didn't like Artest speaking to the media first, but would try to trade him. Walsh said Artest's desire to move on wasn't the only factor in the team's decision.
"This is kind of the last straw of a lot of issues, and it's at the point where we should look for a trade," Walsh said.
He said Artest remains on the roster but is inactive with pay for the rest of the week.
Forward Artest missed 73 games and all the playoffs last season after his suspension by the NBA for triggering the brawl with fans in Detroit.
Artest, who leads the league in steals and is the Pacers' second-leading scorer at 19.4 points a game, has missed the past two games with a sore right wrist. He was not available for comment at Monday's practice.
Indiana is 12-7 and has the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.
"We have a good roster with good players on the roster," Walsh said. "I think they'll appreciate not having this in the middle of their season."
The Associated Press left a message Monday seeking comment from Artest's agent Mark Stevens.
Indiana went 2-1 in the three games Artest missed.

In an interview with The Indianapolis Star published Sunday, Artest said, "I still think my past haunts me here. I think somewhere else I'm starting fresh. I'm coming in with baggage, but people already know about it and how I'm going to be."

CLEVELAND - Cavaliers star LeBron James says he’s flattered by Ron Artest’s comment that he wouldn’t mind playing for Cleveland if the Indiana Pacers grant his desire to be traded.
Artest, suspended most of last season for a brawl with fans in Detroit, said over the weekend that he wants to be traded because his past haunts him in Indianapolis and the team would be better off without him.
The former NBA defensive player of the year could help the Cavaliers, James said Monday. The Cavaliers have struggled defensively this season.
“You’ve got to be flattered because he knows we’re an up-and-coming team,” James said. “Any team in this league could use a guy like Ron Artest.”
Pacers President and Chief Executive Donnie Walsh said Monday that he would try to trade Artest.
Artest told The Indianapolis Star in an interview published Sunday that his first choice would be his hometown New York Knicks.
“If I go to the West Coast, I would come back to New York after my contract is up,” Artest told the newspaper. “I would go to Cleveland. I wouldn’t mind coming off the bench behind LeBron James. There’s a lot of players I wouldn’t mind coming off the bench behind.”
Cavaliers Coach Mike Brown was Indiana’s associate head coach for the last two seasons and was one of the first people to reach Artest in the stands during the brawl in Detroit.
Brown would say only that he had a good relationship with Artest.
“He’s with Indiana and right now, I’m happy with the guys that we have,” Brown said. “I heard something about that but there’s nothing to comment on because he’s a Pacer. If I was his head coach, I wouldn’t want anybody else commenting on my players.” Artest leads the league in steals and is the Pacers’ second-leading scorer at 19.4 points a game. “If Michael Jordan said right now he wanted to play for the Cavs, you’d be flattered,” James said. “If Magic Johnson said it. Anytime you get a good player or a great player mention a team that you’re a part of, you’ve got to be flattered about it.”

Why give up anything for a guy who could get suspended for teh rest of the season at any moment.
I think they should trade him to Philly, see how he gets along with the fans there.
