Rolling outages today (10/2/09)

Haven't seen any outages for a while. Expecting a call within the next 15-20 minutes, hopefully they'll be telling me that it's all resolved (for real this time).

So it seems core routers went bad, then replacement routers were bad, then configurations on replacement-replacement routers had to be worked on -- I don't know. Either way, we're being re-routed to a router that routes without bad routing, or some shit like that. We should see a single brief outage sometime within the next hour (possibly very soon), and then reliable sustainable service so I can sleep, stop grinding my teeth, and stop talking about routers routing.

I'm just trying to sort it out. "Flapping" suggests some sort of bird in the router -- but we have a hamster in the server. Can you mix and match beasts of interwebs burden that way?

Sounds pretty squirrelly to me...fishy even.

I did notice it last night.
Then this morning about a minute or so to load then okay. Whew,I'm glad I saw this I thought I had issues with the computer.:)
