Rock on the Range 2010

This isn't a terrible lineup actually. Deftones, Mastodon, Killswitch, Helmet: yes please. The rest of the bands can suck one :tongue2: I'm totally over all day outside concerts like this though. The last one was Ozzfest 2005 and it was one of the worst days of my life.

Mastodon and Helmet? Missed their names. Those are the only four I'd want to see too, then. :p

Wow what a weekend!! I've been to all 4 years of ROTR, and this was the best by far. I had floor tickets, so was right down in the thick of everything. On Saturday i was 3rd row for Sevendust, then got front row for Halestorm, Skillet, and Killswitch Engage (which was nuts). Then Sunday, was the best day/concert i have ever been to in my life, hands down. Apocalyptic was very cool to see live, never going to see something like that again. FFDP and BFMV are wayy better live then on their albums. Then there was Rob Zombie and Limp Bizkit...all i can say WOW. Zombie put on the best live set/performance i have ever seen. It was absolutely insane from start to finish. Then Bizkit came out and was amazing as well. The crowd was going nuts during Bizkit's performance...the craziest i have seen.

This was the best year, and i hope they can top it next year. Here is to hoping for Tool in 2011!!

Tool is by far my favorite band and has been for at least 10 years. I've pretty much seen every band i've wanted to see except Tool. They are my favorite band, but i've never been able to see them live. The only other bands that i really want to see live are AFI and 30 Seconds to Mars. Maybe they will make it to ROTR some year.

Mastodon was pretty good, they didn't have as big of crowd as I would have thought. Killswitch, Skillet, Godsmack, Mushroomhead and FFDP all kicked ass. Rob Zombie was the best of the whole weekend. Limp was good, but Rob should have closed the weekend. They were were WAY to many lulls in between songs during the Limp set for my liking.

I would have gone to see Mastodon alone...how were they?

I didn't go to ROTR but I saw them last year at the Lifestyles Community Pavilion and......very meh. The vocals are horrible, no two ways about it. My friend saw them at Little Brothers years back and said they blew the roof off the place though. I think seeing them in a small venue would be better.

Did you happen to catch the Deftones? If so how were they?

Pay as much as you can to see them. Worth every penny.

And I'd be beyond shocked if they played at ROTR.

Not much, between seeing Mushroomhead and wanting to get up close to see Mastodon, I only saw a little bit of their set. I've seen them before, and I maybe in the minority, but I've never been a big fan.
