Metal Rules
This is superb news, and is the good side of the madness of Sony's sequel plans, Roadhouse 2 - The Last Call. A cheesy title, but Roadhouse was so much fun, and without bringing shame on my house I have to say that Patrick Swayze positively rocked in that movie, helped along by Kelly Lynch (Woooo!) and the "I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead" Sam Elliot.

"Road House 2" is being produced by Tomorrow Film Corp.'s Yoram Pelman. Gersh-repped Scott Ziehl is in negotiations to direct. Jonathan Schaech, also repped by Gersh, has an offer to star. Miles Chapman is the writer. An August shoot is being eyed for the project.

The Director in talks looks seriously dodgy and there's no mention of the writer on IMDB, so I'm concerned that this project won't get the attention it deserves. There's only one thing that can work here, bring back Swayze, no question, he certainly is in shape to do it. I say get him on board and then you've got a great start for this production. I'd hate to see it any other way.

I think that's valid cci... guess what... it won't...

And hopefully neither will this thread... :wink2:

Roadhouse 2?

Instead of worrying bout whether they can get Patrick Swayze... I think the Studio ought to think about setting off a small nuclear device in its offices for even considering making a sequel to road house.

PAIN DON’T HURT… BUT BAD SEQUELS DO

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>An outbreak of sequelitis has hit Sony Pictures Entertainment.

"Hollow Man 2," "Road House 2 -- Last Call" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer 3" are in various stages of development at the company. It has not been determined whether the projects will be released theatrically or become direct-to-DVD releases.

"Hollow Man 2" is being produced by Red Wagon's Douglas Wick, David Lancaster and Vicki Sotheran. The story revolves around a Seattle detective and a biologist who are on the run from a dangerous invisible assassin gone rogue as well as the government forces that created him.

Swiss director Claudio Feah, repped by ICM, is directing from a script by Joel Soisson. A mid-August start date is scheduled.

Neal Moritz and Eric Feig, two of the producers behind 1997's "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and 1998's "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer," return as producers for "Last Summer 3." The story, which focuses on new characters who didn't appear in the first two movies, revolves around four teens in a Colorado town who are menaced by an assailant a year after a Fourth of July prank turns deadly. Michael Weiss wrote the screenplay.

A director is expected to be announced shortly, and a late-summer shoot in Utah is planned.

You know, I really sometimes wonder who makes these sort of decisions for large companies such as Sony. Why in God's name would you make ANOTHER I know what you did last summer. Why in God's name would you wait 10 years, and make Roadhouse 2. That makes no freaking sense whatsoever. There was another one I heard about a few months ago also, cant remember what movie it was right now.............but the first one was so awful, I can't see how anybody in their right mind would want a second one.

This is awesome-I love Roadhouse-I even bought the DVD for $8.00 at Kroger's last year. That said, it does suck that they killed Sam Elliott in the first one. It would be cool if they brought the Jeff Healey Band back.......I think this might end up straight to video/DVD tho.......
