Au contraire...with the entitled (often violent and armed) parents and fans no one wants to do it. Portland metro HS football had to split games between Thurs and Fri for lack of refs (not much better in Pop Warner and Little League). Thankless and dangerous job that probably won't be getting better anytime soon.

You don't know how happy I am to be east of the Cascades...I'd be in jail by now if I had moved west of the Cascades a few years ago.
