Laterals are deceptive, since the guy who tosses it is still moving forward, but to my eye, he pitched it when he was at the 26 and the other guy was at the 25 when he caught it.

That looks like the frame where the guy caught the lateral I questioned.
But we can agree to disagree, I’m not going to spend much more time on a play from 1982.

I sure don’t blame them for not calling the lateral without the use of replay.
But I do remember being pissed at the time that they missed the guy being down near midfield.
