The author of the article you linked is J. Brady McCollough. My question is this the same J. Brady McCollough that I found here.

If so, please read his bio, especially this part:

Kinda questions your, "But it's not like a reporter in Missouri has any vested interest in rebuilding his (RR) bad public image" a bit doesn't it?

Dear buckiprof:

We are delighted to inform you that your manuscript has been selected for publication in the fall issue of Eyerectomy Review. The reviewers recommended unanimously that your article be accepted for publicaton without any corrections. Please expect to receive page proofs within four weeks.

Thank you for considering Eyerectomy Review as an outlet for your research. We believe that your research will make a considerable contribution to the mission of the journal, which is to further research into the cord that seems to link TSUN fans eyes and arses. As you know, it is only through research such as yours that, sometime in the future, we may learn how to sever this cord and remove their shiitty outlook on life.

This has got to be pretty close to a record length of time between HTM posts in this thread**....especially when you consider the way his last post was called out.

** i didn't research this, so please don't go back and find all the gaps b/w his posts that exceed this length of time

I do actually have a job which sometimes doesn't even involve a computer.

And OK, I got called out a bit on McCollough's alma mater....obviously, I don't bother checking the bios of every writer I quote. Still: The guy is not a blogger. He's a writer for a major newspaper that has to get vetted by an editor. And it's more than possible to find pieces on Rodriguez from all sorts of other sources (Chicago Tribune, Minneapolis Star Tribune among others that I've found) that don't trash the guy either. Yes, I do believe it's only in OH and WV that he's as badly despised as you guys do. "I live in State X" doesn't cut it because you're still a Buckeye fan. I'm sure somebody will be able to say "well I live outside those states and people I've met hate him," and I can say "I live outside Michigan, and people I've met don't hate him."

I can state that he's irrelevant in Oregon.

Nobody is going to despise him as much as Ohio and West Virginia. Pretty obvious there. :tongue2:

I think it's safe to say that in no matter which state (except Michigan), college football fans probably don't look at Rich Rodriguez and think "What a good, character-building person."
