blah blah. the NCAA parked their asses on campus FOR TWO FREAKING YEARS and didn't find a damn thing. when the he said/she said involves a convicted felon, it might not be a wise choice to take the felon's word for it.

Yeah, sure. Just hand over your cellphone. Got any cash in that wallet? What kind of watch is that?:sneaky:

RR purposely words this to sound like it refutes the missing file charge while he knows full well it does not. Academic records were not the issue.

Again RR purposely states this in a way to sound like it refutes the charges of calling recruits when he knows full well it does not. Nobody cares whether or not he called Michigan recruits - it is WVU recruits who are at issue.

This is political doubles speak and defines the man as clearly as anything else that has happened.

Who wants their kids to play for a coach who views the truth as a tool to be manipulated.

Yeah.....after reading his quotes earlier today, I think it makes him look worse. The writer of that article does a subtle but great job of refuting RR while trying to stay an objective journalist.

So what exactly did Dick Rod say at halftime? Tell me he didn't try some cheap copy of JT's 310 day speech, that would be even lamer than I thought him capable of and I don't exactly have a high opinion of the dickhead.

If you're willing to overlook the giant shitstain that is Maurice Clarett

Meshitagain fans only have MoC to point too especially since most of the actual infractions came from the BASKETBALL program, not anything having to do with anyone BUT MoC being, well, MoC.

considering Meshitagain barely even has a basketball program thanks to Steve Fisher, well, glass houses and stones and whatnot.....

No, he hasn't spoken yet. They're trying something completely original: They're gonna have him speak at halftime of the tOSU-scUM basketball game there. See what they did?

oh I gotcha.

Wow, thats up there with the scUM fans doing the gator chomp on the "let us show you how far our program has really fallen" meter.

I bet JT's quaking.

Fixed it.

And I'm not lobbing stones. Simply pointing out that, if people aren't going to hold Maurice Clarett against Tressel (when Clarett got in most of his trouble only after leaving OSU) then it's hardly right to hold Pac-Man Jones and Chris Henry (who got in trouble only after leaving West Virginia) against RR.

There were certainly character issues apparent with Chris Henry before the draft - while he was at West Virginia.

He was ejected from one game for multiple personal fouls, and also suffered a suspension for at least one game as I recall.

Pac-Man Jones wasn't in legal trouble (and was in fact reckoned to be a good student) but he also carried hallmarks of on-field "thug" or taunting behavior at times. Signs were clearly there.

Besides which - for both players, ask someone who followed West Virginia at the time if Pac-Man and Henry got away with other shit while in Morgantown - you'll get a knowing nod of the head in response most likely.

Back to Dick Wardriguez - the real anti-hero of this thread.

They've had quite a few more troublemakers at WVU than just Pac-Man and Chris Henry and you know it......

Let's just forget about Pat Lazear and Noel Devine. RR had nothing to do with their recruitment.

I also fixed it.

One of my best friends was a GA and coached the DB's at WVU when Pac Man was there. Believe me when I say, he was nothing but trouble when he was there too.

MITCH ALBOM: Their Rich Rodriguez mess could one day be ours
January 19, 2008

By MITCH ALBOM

FREE PRESS SPORTS COLUMNIST

Let?s be honest. If Lloyd Carr, early in his career as Michigan head coach, had bolted for another school and a richer contract ? as Rich Rodriguez did ? if he initially lied about a meeting with that school, if he abruptly left the Wolverines before a bowl, if he informed Michigan of his departure through a graduate assistant, if he informed a prep quarterback prospect before he told his U-M boss, if he shredded files in Ann Arbor, if he took most of the U-M staff with him, and if he owed Michigan a $4-million buyout and had his lawyers working on ways not to pay it ? you can bet we?d be angry.

We?d be flooding radio talk shows.

We?d be jumping on any negative tidbit.

Just as they?re doing in West Virginia.

If Maize-and-Blue loyalists want to lust after a national championship and want the hot coach of the moment to lead them, that?s fine. But don?t be hypocritical. Don?t dismiss West Virginia fans and media as sore-loser crazies.

Because we?d do the same thing. This newspaper. Our radio stations. Our TV. And our fans. That is how it works now in college football. When you steal a coach, it?s lucky you. When your coach is stolen, it?s trash the guy.

Personally, I?m not so concerned about what West Virginia thinks of Rodriguez at Michigan.

I?m concerned about Michigan.
