Nice, good foundation for a Monty Python skit.

And now for something completely different.....the Michigan defensive backs running their coverage drills:

The Dorsey Effect

I truly think that Brandon is sending this message to RR with denying O LET DOT IT!! into UM. The message is "We may have the similar colors, but this ain't Morgantown, buddy."

Brandon has publicly stated more than a few times that RR will be the coach this fall, and many are taking that as "Brandon LOVES RR XOXOXO!!!. Actually, to me, what Brandon is saying is that RR will not lose his job this year, but that RR is gone after this season unless he leads this team to at least 9 wins, with one of those wins over either MSU or OSU. I just see a team that will play hard until that first loss, then it will be all over. The team will quit on RR, especially the Tater Tot, because RR is not about his players, but about himself and HIS system.

All I have to say is that if those chips they are carrying around on their shoulders get knocked off at any time, I don't think they will pick them up and put them back on. They will leave them in the dirt and walk away.

Then again, this is JMHO.

Sorry to be piling on, but you posted 3 things here that I completely disagree with.
I think the improvement will come from finally having a DC there more than one season. Last year was our third DC in three years. Finally some stability and familiarity in the scheme and system should sure some of that up.
Aren't you changing to a new scheme and system?

Losing Graham was the biggest blow, but I think Roh can step in there and be that fire for the defense.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you aren't saying Roh can be almost as good as Graham. He might be good....but nobody on the current team is going to replace Graham.

I never thought Warren was all that great, so I don't think he's that big of a loss to be honest.
He wasn't all that great, and he was still the best DB on the team.

RichRod: We've got stretching, sprints, lifting and practice. Practice, prints, explosion training, and practice. We've got lifting, stretching, fundamentals, and practices. We've got film and practice. We've got film, film, more film, and practice.

Team: Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice

Compliance Officer: Well, do you have anything without any practice in it?

Rich Rod: Well we've got stretching and practice, that's not got much practice in it.

Team: Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice

Mike, how do you feel about an 8 win season if the 5 are sparty, OSU, illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa? That's a 7 n 5 season without winning the two most important rivalries and another bad loss like Illinois. They'd obviously win some low bowl to finish with 8 wins.

Michigan needed a randy edsall coach, although I admit I'm clueless about his recruiting acumen. He must be doing something right with their recent draftees. Harbaugh was too young, too much history, and not a gamble you take at a school like Michigan one year removed from a near NC berth.

I for one would welcome such a move. Rodriguez has been a disaster, so just imagine what would happen if they replaced him with a coach who went 0-4 against RichRod, with an average score of 45-16 in those meetings...

Spam, practice and bull shit,

Practice, practice, practice and Spam.

Team: But we don't much like practice.

I have always felt that the strong public statements of support for RR are posturing. When you have all the pieces in place to fire him for cause you want to have an audit trail that says you always loved the guy but now have no choice. You don't want attorneys pointing to equivocations and arguing that you were just looking for an excuse to fire to avoid a buy out.

Guy 1: Your coach, is he a goer? wink, wink.

Mich Fan: A goer?

G1: Yeah, you know, is he a go-er, likes to lose, likes dirty practice, know what I mean? nudge, nudge, wink, wink?

MF (you didn't see that coming?) : I'm not sure I understand what you're asking here.

G1: I bet you don't, I bet you don't, does he like to gallop from school to school, like the lawsuits, likes to lift big weights, I bet. A reall go-er if you get my drift, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

MF: Well he does like to watch the fellows lift a bit, especially after hours, if that's what you mean.

G1: I knew it! I bet he does, I bet he does, like to watch those big boys lift a bit, and run, and stretch -- do they stretch a bit, if you know what I mean? wink, wink, nudge, nudge...

MF: .........well, yeah....

Perhaps, but you're assuming that RR has a history of leaving a trail of lawsuits in his wake.
