Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

Dorsey is being discussed in the other TSUN thread, but it's worthwhile to note RRod's discomfort during his signing day presser here.

This guy is so in over his head it's not even funny anymore. The fucking asshole acts put out by being asked questions as to why he brings a guy with multiple felony charges (acquitted or not). "Wrong place wrong time" is mentioned about seven times. Once? Okay, wrong place, wrong time. Twice, um...no. I understand second chances, but after the Feagin debacle, you'd think he'd err on the side of caution here. Desperation is a stinky cologne.

And scUM fans got on TP for his public speaking....:shake:
The guy repeats the same things over and over and over again. It's painful to watch. You'd think the guy charged with leading one of the biggest football programs in the country would be able to handle a little public speaking. Instead he sounds like a nervous eighth grader giving his first standup book report. They'd be better off bringing Barwis (!!!!!!!!!11!!!11!!1!!) out to growl at them for ten minutes.

The thing that slays me about DickRod going WAY out on a limb with this thug is the fact that even if this thug was a 5* uber-DB who should be going straight to the NFL (if it were possible) because he is just that good, scUM is still gonna suck ass next year on D. :slappy:

It was so humbling to be up there talking, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, you need to take a look at the bigger picture, the bigger picture being if I can't make this work next year who the hell is going to hire me?

So sad that Texas Tech didn't offer me a huge deal, I would have fit in perfectly there.

You see, my problem is that I don't know the whole story. My perception of this is that the whole story included an Army entrance examination during that presser. Because that is the last time I saw that expression on anyone's face. :slappy:

"Hey JB, way to take my advice on how to run a real Michigan defense there in the Big Ten Tourney! Kudos!"

The term certainly didn't originate in TSUN. Hillbillies brought it along with them when they were hired by FoMoCo en masse because it was believed they wouldn't unionize.

Folks from Appalachia were the Mexicans of the 1930s (at least as far as the auto industry was concerned).

True Dat, my dad and uncles were outside of Delco Products, Division of General Motors, screaming "Scabs!" at the folks brought in from Appalachia by the bus load to try and break the union's back in Dayton. Then, when Dad and the uncles got drafted, the former scabs stayed at their defense plant jobs and gained seniority. When the war was over the "scabs" of 1932 - 37 had more seniority than the soldiers.

That was the prejudice I was raised with in Dayton.
