Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

The dreaded vote of confidence. So when is RR going to sign a contract?

AD voices his support for U-M's Rodriguez

ANN ARBOR -- Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez is 2-4 in his first season with the Wolverines, but he has the firm support of athletic director Bill Martin.
U-M is coming off a 13-10 loss to Toledo, its first loss in 25 games against Mid-American Conference teams. It plays at No. 3 Penn State on Saturday.
"There's absolutely no question I'm totally supportive of Rich," Martin, who hired Rodriguez, said Tuesday. "Was I surprised with the loss last Saturday? Sure I was, no question about it. But I think he's the right man for this program at this time.

"You always have to, when you're sitting in my seat, look at long term. You can't look at instant gratification."
Martin preached patience. He reminded that last year in his first season as Alabama's football coach, Nick Saban's team lost to unheralded Louisiana-Monroe.
"And where is he now? Two in the country? Second year," Martin said of Saban. "So things turn quickly."
Also of note, Martin said Rodriguez's contract is "almost done."

Where Can I Return My Defective Rodriguez?

I was angry. For about 6 minutes (instead of 6 weeks). Which may be the most telling of signs about how far and how fast Michigan has fallen.

We were forgiving, almost as an entire fanbase. We have chastised fumbles, and pointed out poor strategy decisions by Rodriguez, but here, and most everywhere, the Michigan fanbase has treated Rodriguez with kid gloves during this "rebuilding" period. We have trusted that the "rebuilding" was a necessary evil to institute this spread thing which Rodriguez brought with him.

The kid gloves are off. Our trust has ended.

In one half season, with the most difficult part of the season left, Rodriguez has managed:

1. to lose as many games as Lloyd Carr ever did in a regular season;
2. to lose to a Mid-American Conference team for the first time ever;
3. to accumulate the worst record through 6 games since Bump Elliot's 1967 team, which went 1-5 and finished 4-6.
4. to amass one of the worst performing offenses in the nation: 109 of 119 (Offensive Genius??)
5. to be dead last in fumbles lost (the ncaa doesn't track fumbles not lost but is there any doubt Michigan would be last there as well?)

cont'd...

Boy, talk about something to give the STUNed fans the warm-fuzzies... getting your coach's and team's development put on the same path as Nick Saban's and his Pachyderms.

How many 350 lb DTs is R-Rod going after?

Problem with equation. Saban is a savvy coach with high fundamental football IQ, smart enough to build from the inside-out on defense.

R-Rod? Notsomuch.

Hey, ole fat ass has his own thread, leave him out of this. This thread is about how awesome I am and how ascared yall are of me.

fify. you sure your dick rod?

"I know 100 percent Clemson University has no intention of contacting coach Rodriguez."

how do you 100% know this without first having asked the question?

Brown emphasized Rodriguez is a Clemson graduate and said he has insight into what's going on there, but declined to be specific.

which means he has been speaking to people at clemson no?

It was only a week ago that Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said he would be embarrassed if somebody said his players "looked like they quit or were soft or lazy."
On Monday, he was that somebody.
"I thought we played a little soft," he said, referring to Saturday's home loss to Illinois. "That was the most disappointing part about it." Missed assignments "are going to happen, and you make a few mistakes -- you shouldn't be making them each and every game, the same mistakes -- but to play a little soft was disappointing. We've got to get a little tougher.

now wait just a damn minute... dickrod is saying scum is soft??? now that is a mistake of near epic proportions. the entire rod family must be terrified awaiting the potential fallout from this. i can pretty much guarantee this is the last time he will make a statement even remotely resembling this in the future. should he do so you can pretty much guarantee that BARWIS!!!! will descend from mount wolfenstein and call down teh fucking thunder! to even insinuate that BARWIS!!!! may have failed in anyway to mold any living creature into the most powerful and dominant specimen mankind has ever seen is pure blasphemy.

assuming BARWIS!!!! hasn't already ripped dickrod in half then skull fucked him to death, i expect this statement to be recended followed by a sincere and heartfelt apology to be issued to BARWIS!!!! any second now.

It's a possibility, because i also think he hasn't signed his contract, but he has never shown any hint of being that big of a scumbag

Funny stuff. Of course, RR would never take a single engine piper, top speed about 140 mph, to Clemson...

I am working in Ann Arbor as I write and it's getting pretty funny. A co-worker, who has a "U of M" license plate holder on his car was all excited today about the FireRRod.com web site.

They are getting a little tired of this --- it goes back to Ap State last year. The bandwagon scUM fan is at the end of his rope (not the loyal ones) and I would bet you're going to see a lot of empty seats later this year....

I hope when he steps onto the field at Ohio Stadium, he gets a standing O.

RR=John Cooper with no wins over Notre Dame (and after this weekend, no wins over Penn State either)
