Reynolds fired from Baseball Tonight

I actually liked Reynolds to a point, though he did seem to have the same 8 catchphrases every night. I agree it should have been Morgan...not sure if there is a more pompous, self-righteous and arrogant assclown on baseball TV...at least since Bobby Valentine left.

Rumor has it on deadspin.com that it had to do with sexual harassament. I liked Reynolds...only guy in all of ESPN that gave succinct, clear analysis.

Why couldn't it have been Screamin' A. Smith?

His biggest problem is that he appears on a completely worthless show. Do we really need to overanalyze a single game which represents 1/162 of a team's season? Most of what they say on Baseball Tonight is a complete waste of time because by the time the next game rolls around, they've completely changed their opinion about something because the guy/team they are talking about it playing better/worse

And ESPN is forcing you to watch the show? :roll2:

FYI, there's a new thing, called a remote control, which allows people to change the TV channel without even leaving their seat. :wink2:

I don't watch that show much, but I thought Reynolds was preferable to Kruk.

Say what you want about Reynolds' chops as an orator--his style of journalism was, in my opinion, far superior to what is rapidly becoming the norm. It's already been brought up several times, so I won't waste airspace beating it to death, but Reynolds was knowledgable and understated; two qualities which are completely lost on shouting shitbags like Smith, Bayless, Mariotti et al.

The problem is that Reynolds doesn't scream constantly and try to talk over everybody while saying nothng of substance like Screamin A. Smith. Calm normal dialog based on analysis has no place at ESPN. Flamboyant yelling meant to rabble rouse simpletons is what gets you on the air on that station.

Yeah, dumbass's galour seem to fill the studio during College GameDay/Night with the biggest homers, Mark May (who needs to be canned) and Lou Holtz (who has one foot in the grave).

I do love how ESPN tends to get rid of personalities in the middle of a season, didnt they do this with Trev Alberts last year?

Whatever on May, I can't stand watching Holtz. His speach is so slurred I have to guess what he's holding under the table: Jack Daniels or his teeth.

Well they both got on my nerves with their predictions last year. May argued with Herby, saying that Notre Dame would only win 1 of their first 4 games, and also went on to say Pitt will have a good year. Then at the end of the year, Mr. Notre Dame came on the air and predicted a big win by ND over the Buckeyes. I guess he was still chewing on the losses in the 90s, or maybe he remembers the games he attened as a 10year old with ND vs. OSU?

They both deserve to be canned, and BTW someone needs to throw Desmond Howard and Nick Lacheys ass's off the bus. I dont know which is worse? The guy who cheated on his perfect wife with strippers, or the midget that couldnt stand the recent whippings of UM by the Bucks, so he gets on our sacred stadium and sings the UM anthem?!? WTF?! ESPN just needs to start over on their "experts" besides Herby and Corso, the flagships.
