It's very confusing because it would appear so but I'm not sure how. Giving up 2 runs an inning is an 18.00 ERA. After Hoover's last performance against St. Louis, his ERA was 17.18. Tonight he gave up 2 in 2/3 an inning and it is lower? Something aint right...

Edit: Hoover pitched an inning last night and didn't give up a run!!! That brought his ERA down to 13.50. Tonight it got down to 12 something after his first out before he served up his usual 2 run HR.
