Bastardo just spiked his 6th or 7th pitch several ft in front of the plate, this one hit the catcher and bounced almost straight back out to the grass.
Two things happened, Byrd swung at it in the dugout and Phillips stood still as a fucking post at 1B and watched the catcher run the half marathon to get to it.
